HOW DO I JOIN UTHINK ?

It’s easy and fast. Just click on the word “Join” in the grey bar at the top of the page and follow the three step instructions:

1. Choose a username
2. Check your email
3. Login with your new password

That’s it! - You’re a uthink member and ready to have your say.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING ?

No. It is absolutely free to view and contribute to uthink. There is nothing for sale. There are no hidden costs. Totally FREE!

WHAT IS UTHINK FOR ? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY ?

You can say anything you like!! That’s the whole point of uthink. uthink is a place for you to voice your opinion, argue your point, contribute your view or have your say on any topic or issue that you want.

You can start your own topic for discussion or you can comment on topics or comments of others. uthink uses state-of-the-art computer technologies and modern interface designs to make your job as easy as possible. Have a go. You won’t believe how simple it is.

You can even upload pictures to enhance your post and embed videos from YouTube.com. It’s easy, so don’t be scared.

So, within the boundaries of the uthink terms and conditions, you can do whatever you like and say whatever you think. Your site for your say!

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EDITING CONTENT ON UTHINK ?

You are! :)

It’s all up to you. Nobody is looking over your shoulder to tell you what you can and can’t say. Content is monitored by the uthink community, by the readers, by the users, by you.

Next to each post there is a button that looks like this [!] You can use this button if you think what you have seen or read is in breach of the uthink terms and conditions. When you press this button you are flagging the content as “inappropriate” and the uthink administration will be notified instantly.

Other than that, there are no restrictions on what you can say. No editors, no word limits and no time delay. It’s all yours…..

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PROFILE AND WHO CAN SEE IT ?

You can change your profile by selecting the “My Folder” link on the grey bar at the top of the screen. In this section you can upload or change your avatar (personal picture), view your contributions, subscribe to users, channels and topics and keep your profile up to date.

The information you enter in your profile is kept completely private as per the uthink Privacy Policy accessible at the bottom of each page. Other users will only ever see your username and the City you are from – that’s all.

WHAT ARE TAGS ?

Tags are like “keywords” that help the uthink system rank your topic or channel. They also help other users find what you have contributed. They are compulsory for every new topic or channel you create.

For example, if you were writing a topic or creating a channel about “Rally Driving” your tags might be: motor sport, cars, racing, rally, etc. Use a comma ( , )between each tag so the system knows it is s new tag.

WHAT IS A LINKED TOPIC ?

Each topic created is automatically given a topic number. You will see this number just under the heading of each topic. You can use this number to link topics that you think are relevant to your new topic.

When you are creating a new topic, there is an option to include two “Linked Topics” in the new topic form. If you think there are other topics on the site that are related to yours and you want to suggest users look at them, then copy the topic number of each one and paste them into the form.

This is an option only and is not required. If you do use it however, links to your Linked Topics will appear at the bottom of your new topic for users to see and use.
